Workshop: Assessing Low-Carbon Transition for Key Sectors

Is your company ready for the low-carbon future? Join experts and companies from the retail, auto manufacturing and electric utility sectors for a workshop on methods to access corporate climate leadership.

World Resources InstituteCDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency are hosting a workshop, Assessing Low-Carbon Transition for Key Sectors. This workshop is being held in conjunction with Climate Week NYC 2017.

When: Tuesday, September 19, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Where: Columbia University, 116th St & Broadway, New York, NY 10027

Workshop Summary: The ACT (Assessing Low Carbon Transition) Project takes a holistic view of a company’s operational impacts and dependencies, as well as of its supply chain, to assess its readiness for the transition to a low-carbon world. The goal of the initiative is to drive action by companies and put them on a 2°C compatible pathway.

This day-long workshop will convene companies from three sectors that have tested preliminary ACT methodologies — retail, auto manufacturing and electric utilities — as well as NGOs, consultants and other stakeholders. The purpose of the workshop is to give companies and stakeholders an opportunity to influence how climate leadership is measured in these sectors. Agenda and workshop details are forthcoming.

Please note that capacity is limited, and this event is by invitation only. Reigstrants must be able to attend in person. Please register your interest in attending by Thursday, September 14. Exact location shared in confirmation email.
