WASHINGTON DC (July 8, 2026) – Greenhouse Gas Protocol is pleased to announce a call for applications to join its Independent Standards Board (ISB).  

Building on the contributions of our inaugural cohort of ISB members, we are looking to bring on new members and enhance sectoral and geographic representation within the group. We are particularly interested in applications from individuals from civil society, academia and research institutions, as well as those from North America, Latin America and Africa, but we encourage all qualified individuals to apply.  

The Independent Standards Board, made up of leading global experts, oversees the standards development process, and approves final GHG Protocol standards. The ISB is overseen by the Steering Committee and works closely with the GHG Protocol Secretariat.
