Yumzhana Daneeva is an Actions and Market Instruments Manager for Greenhouse Gas Protocol at the World Council for Sustainable Development. In her role she will develop a new standard for accounting on actions and market instruments.

Yumzhana has over 8 years of experience in corporate sustainability, climate risk, ESG ratings, compliance, and investor relations. Her background includes sustainability consulting roles at PwC and a private firm, climate research at the Energy center, and ESG leadership at one of the largest gold producers PJSC Polyus.

Prior to joining GHG Protocol, Yumzhana worked at Morningstar Sustainalytics as a Senior Climate Content Specialist. She helped to launch a flagship climate product - Low-Carbon Transition Rating and served as a knowledge center for carbon emissions data and methodology.

Academically, Yumzhana focused on carbon markets and decarbonization of the energy sector. Yumzhana holds a PhD degree in Economics from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Yumzhana is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
