This webinar will focus on why and how to publicly report city energy and emissions data with a focus on building efficiency. Speakers will discuss the benefits of conforming to reporting standards, how to meet best practices, and the role of reporting repositories. A list of suggested information to report and an example reporting template will be provided and examples from the buildings sector will be examined.

Carley Chavara: Research Analyst, Global Climate Program, WRI

Carley is a Research Analyst with the Global Climate Program. She supports cities in tracking and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through publication development, e-learning, and application of the GHG Protocol for Cities (GPC). Carley also works with the Building Efficiency Accelerator to conduct emissions assessments of policies and projects and draft publications.

Alex Kovac: Research Analyst, Global Climate Program, WRI

Alex is a Research Analyst with the Global Climate Program and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. He supports drafting and coordination for WRI’s Global Protocol for Community-scale Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GPC), and contributes to the development of standards, methodology, and guidance for preparing accurate and actionable city-level greenhouse gas inventories.
