Dr. Keith is a forest ecologist working on management for climate mitigation from both practical and theoretical perspectives. Her research involves many aspects of carbon accounting, from field measurements of carbon stocks and fluxes in forests and agricultural systems, spatial modelling across landscapes, to improving the theoretical frameworks for carbon accounting. She contributes to the United Nations System of Environmental Economic Accounting Ecosystem Accounting in developing the guidelines that have been endorsed as an international statistical standard and ongoing implementation through preparing guidance and practical case studies on forest ecosystems, restoration and carbon. She is committed to improving mitigation actions by the global community for the benefit of our climate, environment and well-being and is pleased to have the opportunity to contribute scientific research experience to deliver real change through development and revisions of the GHG Protocol.
