Michaela Wagar

Michaela is the Mitigation Impact Accounting Manager for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. She leads the Actions and Market Instruments workstream, developing a new standard to address the role of market-based mechanisms and the impacts of mitigation actions in corporate GHG accounting and reporting.

Prior to joining WRI, Michaela advanced carbon accounting and sustainability programs in both the carbon removal and food & beverage sectors. She has an educational background in chemical engineering and currently lives in Washington State with her dog, Ranger, and a growing flock of chickens.
