Actions and Market Instruments Intern
Nisalyna Bontiff is a recent Environmental Science graduate and the current GHG Protocol intern at WBCSD. Originally from the beautiful Caribbean island Sint Maarten, she has witnessed the impact of intensified natural disasters due to climate change firsthand: an experience which, along with her background in GHG emissions accounting, resource recovery, and sustainable energy, has fueled her passion for environmental solutions.
In her previous internship within the agricultural sector, she worked on the quantification of a company's GHG emissions. During this time, she developed a customized and simplified emissions Excel calculation tool that aligned the company's GHG emission accounting process with the environmental disclosure requirements under the European Sustainability Reporting Standards.
